How Long is the Commute From Braintree to Boston on the MBTA?

Four snowstorms later, commuters using the T in Braintree are experiencing a commute much longer than normal.

With Red Line service out of Braintree down and buses being used as a substitute, WHDH set out on Tuesday to see how long it takes to get from the Braintree station to Boston.

The route saw the news crew take a bus from Braintree to the JFK/UMass station in Dorchester, before hopping on a train to Park Street.

In the end, it took over 90 minutes to make the trip, much more than the usual 30 minutes on the Red Line.

On Monday, MBTA GM Beverly Scott said that restoring service to the Braintree branch of the Red Line was a priority.
