Hyde Park Man Pepper Sprayed Following Black Friday Confrontation at South Shore Plaza
Police say Yoiner Delacruz encouraged onlookers to film the incident that took place during Black Friday.

BRAINTREE, MA — A Hyde Park man at the South Shore Plaza for Black Friday needed to be pepper sprayed following an incident in Macy's, police said.
Yoiner Delacruz, 27, was arraigned in Quincy District Court Friday and charged with disorderly conduct, assault and battery on a police officer, and resisting arrest. He is free on the promise that he'll return for his next court date.
At about 3:57 a.m. early Friday morning, police at the mall received a report of a loud group on the second floor of Macy's. Witnesses told police that a group in the homegoods section was yelling, cursing, and playing music on their phones, according to a police report. Officers were called to the store after one of the men was pushed into merchandise.

When officers arrived, they found that the suspects had the odor of alcohol on their breath and red and glassy eyes. During a confrontation, officers asked Delacruz to remove his hands from his pocket, which he refused to do, while getting louder, police said.
While police attempted to handcuff him, Delacruz yelled at nearby shoppers to take video of the incident. Still unable to restrain Delacruz, police eventually used pepper spray before securing handcuffs on him in the back of a police cruiser.
