Man In Braintree Injured By Backhoe

Police say the man was working on the backhoe when it backed into him and injured his chest.

BRAINTREE, MA — A man is in the hospital after getting run over by a backhoe.

Friday afternoon, a 51-year-old man was working on a vehicle on Pond Street when it started and backed over him. The backhoe went in reverse for another 75 yards before stopping, according to the Patriot Ledger.

The man was alert and conscious when he was taken to the hospital with chest injuries.
