Quincy Man Wanted for Attempted Murder

QUINCY, MA - Police have issued a warrant for the arrest of a Quincy man wanted in connection to a stabbing last week.

Austin Avelar, 29, of Quincy is wanted for attempted murder, assault and battery with a deadly weapon, and assault with intent to rob.

Avelar was allegedly involved in the daytime stabbing of a man March 9 on Granger Street. Avelar and the victim are believed to have known each other.

Police describe Avelar as a white male, 5 feet 10 inches, with brown hair and brown eyes.
