Suspect In Indecent Assault Case at Braintree MBTA Station Arrested
Police say Cody Chery asked a woman in the station's garage inappropriate questions and indecently assaulted her.

BRAINTREE, MA — A week-long investigation into an alleged indecent assault has led to the arrest of a Randolph man.
Cody Chery, 21, was arrested at the Downtown Crossing MBTA station Tuesday and charged with indecent assault and battery.
On May 16, 2017, at about 5 p.m., a woman told transit police officers that she was approached by a man while walking to her vehicle inside the Braintree station parking garage. The man, identified as Chery, allegedly asked her inappropriate questions before he indecently assaulted the victim and fled in an unknown direction.

Following an investigation, Chery was taken into custody. At the time of the arrest, Chery was found wearing a court-ordered GPS bracelet from a prior indecent assault and battery conviction.
