Trash Tips: Best Sticker Practices

Recycling coordinator Jeffrey Kunz weighs in this week on trash stickers.

We receive many calls throughout the year concerning the Trash Sticker you are eligible to receive when you pay your annual Trash Fee in person. It’s important that you decide ahead of the summer mailing for the fall renewal if you need one. Why? Because it is your ‘ticket’ to be able to access the following resident-only facilities and services:

  • Sunset Lake parking
  • Trash drop-off – Covanta/SEMASS facility on Ivory St.
  • Town Compost Facility on Plain St.
  • Town Recycling Center on Ivory St.

You will receive instructions in the mailing for the Sticker – its FREE with the payment of your Trash Fee at (not by mail), and by planning ahead, bringing a car registration with you to the Treasurer’s office (it is vehicle specific) and simply asking for one, it saves you time and frustration later on – even if you only need the Sticker a couple of times a year.

For more information, contact the Treasurer’s office at 781-794-8130.
