Occupants of Car in Fatal Weymouth Crash Identified as Archbishop Williams Students
Archbishop Williams High Schoool in Braintree has confirmed that McKarthy and the other three occupants were students at the school.

WEYMOUTH, MA - The Norfolk County District Attorney's office has released the name of a 15-year-old that was killed late Saturday night in Weymouth.
Kate McCarthy, 15, of Weymouth, was pronounced dead after a crash that sent four people to the hospital.

At about 11 p.m. Saturday night, police received several 911 calls for a car crash in the area of 583 Union St. According to police, a vehicle traveled south on the road before striking a telephone pole, parked motor vehicles, and a tree.
McCarthy and another passenger were ejected from the vehicle and all four occupants were transported to South Shore Hospital.

Archbishop Williams High School in Braintree has confirmed that McCarthy and the other three occupants were students at the school. The school was open until 5 p.m. Sunday for students to talk to councilors. A schoolwide prayer service is scheduled for Monday at 1:30 p.m. and all after-school activities and athletic events have been cancelled.
"As a Catholic community of faith, we are deeply saddened by the serious automobile accident that occurred last night involving four of our students. We ask for prayers for the families of the students involved and for the entire Archbishop Williams community," school President Dennis M. Duggan, Jr and Principal Michael R. Volonnino said in a statement.
The crash remains under investigation by the Weymouth Police Department.
