WHY

Hospice of the South Shore is there to help ease patients’ pain and suffering and allow them to focus on their friends and families; making every moment count. The organization provides care regardless of a patient’s ability to pay. Last year, Hospice caregivers helped hundreds of patients live life to the fullest, with dignity and respect, as they faced cancer, Alzheimer’s, Lou Gehrig’s disease, and other life-limiting illnesses. Every dollar raised by the Walk benefits Hospice of the South Shore patients.

A History of Compassion

Hospice of the South Shore cares for the terminally ill and their families. Our team of doctors, nurses, social workers, chaplains, and volunteers makes each patient as comfortable as possible – most often in their own home. We help people live with dignity until the end of their life.

Additionally, Hospice of the South Shore shows families how to care for a dying loved one, and supports the family emotionally and socially. Our goal is to help patients and their families have closure and peace at the end of life.

Hospice of the South Shore cares for patients in need, regardless of their ability to pay. Additionally, many of the services provided by Hospice of the South Shore are above and beyond what insurance will cover.
