Weymouth Woman Charged in Quincy Bank Robbery Arrested in Braintree
Shirley Fisher was arrested Friday after allegedly robbing a bank in Quincy.

BRAINTREE, MA - A Weymouth woman was arrested in Braintree Friday after allegedly robbing a bank in Quincy.
Shirley Fisher, 60, was charged with unarmed robbery, misleading a police investigation, and using a motor vehicle during the commission of a felony, according to the Quincy Police Department.
At about 3:30 p.m., police in Quincy responded to a reported bank robbery at the Citizens Bank on Quincy Avenue. According to a witness, who is also a Norfolk County deputy sheriff, a heavy set female ran from the bank with a person identified as the bank manager behind her. The manager told the deputy sheriff that the bank was just robbed, with the witness able to produce a photo of the getaway vehicle's license plate.

A short time later, the Braintree Police Department located the vehicle and detained the operator, identified as Fisher. She was later taken into custody.
