Information in the article is from the Braintree Police Department. Arrests and charges mentioned do not imply conviction.
Police in Braintree apparently charged the wrong woman last month after a report of suspicious activity on Harness Lane.
On Oct. 23, Kathleen M. Chambers, 26, of Burlington, was arrested and charged with illegal possession of a firearm, illegal possession of ammunition and lewd and lascivious conduct. Police say Chambers originally gave the name of a Turner Falls woman.
A warrant has been issued for Chamber’s arrest and she is being charged with giving a false name after arrest and false impersonation/identity fraud.

During the initial arrests, Officers Timothy White and Daniel Kallenberg were checking a report of a suspicious vehicle parked on Harness Lane and encountered Chambers and Brian M. Murphy, JR, 27, of Braintree, undressed inside the vehicle.
During questioning, both parties allegedly gave false information as to their identities. As the officers investigated further, they discovered a large purse on the floor on the passenger side of the vehicle. Both Chambers and Murphy denied ownership and a later search of the purse uncovered the loaded firearm, along with several credit cards in the name of one woman and a driver’s license in the name of another woman.
