Brockton-Based Street Gang Members Charged After Search Warrants Executed

The Harvard Street Gang has been under investigation since 2019, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office.

BROCKTON, MA — Members of a Brockton-based street gang were hit with gun and drug charges following the execution of search warrants in cities across eastern Massachusetts, the U.S. Attorney's Office said.

According to a media release from the U.S. Attorney's Office, a seven-year investigation of Brockton's Harvard Street gang led to federal complaints against these eight men were unsealed Wednesday:

Lue "Poncho" Andrade, 31, of West Bridgewater, London Cohen, 36, of Randolph, Kelby Correia, 34, of Brockton, Giovany Fouyolle, 31, of Randolph, Adonis Graham, 34, of Boston, Felipe Jonet-Branco, 31, of Brockton, Jose Mendes, 35, of Randolph, all were charged with possession with intent to distribute controlled substances, according to a media release from the U.S. Attorney's Office.

Andrade, Cohen, Jonet-Branco and Mendes were also charged with possession of one or more firearms in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime, the release said.

An eighth man, Keanu "Keys" Fernandes, 29, of Brockton, was charged with conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute controlled substances, in connection with this investigation, according to the release.

All eight men are in federal or state custody, the release said.

The Harvard Street Gang has been under investigation since 2019, according to the release.

"During this time, more than 20 leaders, members and associates of (the gang) have been charged with state and federal drug trafficking and firearm crimes," the release said. "Over 100 kilograms of drugs, including cocaine and fentanyl, and over 45 firearms, including machine guns, have been seized."

The Harvard Street Gang "has been involved in gang violence, including shootings, murders and witness intimidation," according to the release.

"During the investigation, numerous residences and stash houses in Boston, Randolph, Taunton, West Bridgewater and Brockton associated with (the gang) and their Randolph affiliates were searched," the release said. "According to court records, the searches resulted in the seizure of 15 firearms, hundreds of rounds of ammunition, over 50 pounds of marijuana, approximately three kilograms of cocaine, fentanyl and other drugs as well as approximately $38,000 in cash."

A search warrant was also executed at the clothing store Banks & Brancos on Crescent Street in Brockton, which was owned and operated by Jonet-Branco, according to the release.

The search turned up 10 firearms, more than 35 pounds of marijuana, over 200 grams of apparent psilocybin mushrooms and more than $40,000 in cash, the release said.

"Eight firearms, along with large-capacity magazines and several empty bottles of promethazine with codeine, were allegedly found inside a hidden drawer underneath the store’s front counter," according to the release.

"The guns included a large-caliber rifle and a Glock handgun equipped with a machine gun conversion device," the release said. "An additional gun was hidden inside the store’s vending machine, and another was in plain view in a storage room."
