Volunteers For Brookline Transportation Board Wanted
The Transportation board is looking for residents to serve on two different transportation-related committees.
From The Town of Brookline: The Transportation Board is looking for Brookline residents interested in public transportation to serve as members of the Public Transportation Advisory Committee. PTAC was established in to advise the Transportation Board on ways to improve and increase utilization of public transportation in Brookline. PTAC works with the MBTA and the Town to fine-tune existing bus and train service and infrastructure, as well as explore new opportunities to expand transit accessibility for residents and for those who travel to Brookline. Interested candidates should send a copy of the resume and a letter of introduction and interest to Todd Kirrane at tkirrane@brooklinema.gov no later than July 8, 2019.
The Transportation Board is also looking for Brookline residents interested in walking for commuting, general mobility and pleasure to serve as members of the Pedestrian Advisory Committee. The PedAC was established to encourage, plan for, and advocate for pedestrian access within the Town of Brookline. It advises the Transportation Board on matters related to pedestrians for commuting, general mobility and pleasure, with an emphasis on safety and access as it relates to complete streets. Interested candidates should send a copy of the resume and a letter of introduction and interest to Todd Kirrane at tkirrane@brooklinema.gov no later than July 8, 2019.
