Auditions for THE LAST FIVE YEARS in Burlington

May 18 & 19 at 7:30 PM at the Park Playhouse, One Edgemere Avenue in Burlington. Directed by Rachel Howard Fennell and Music Direction by James Murphy Performances August 9 - 17 Please note: THIS SHOW WILL BE DOUBLE CAST. EACH COUPLE WILL GET THREE PERFORMANCES OF THE SIX PERFORMANCE RUN. Auditioners should prepare TWO contrasting pieces in the style of but not from the show. Each piece should be no longer than 16-20 measures. Please bring sheet music in the appropriate key. An accompanist will be provided. No a cappella auditions will be permitted. Individuals may be called back or kept for additional auditions on May 19 to sing selections from the show. Familiarity with the show & music is strongly recommended. Characters: CATHERINE HIATT Character arcs from an ambitious, fresh-faced girl in a new relationship to a woman stunned by a betrayal and a divorce that she is only beginning to understand. Female, 25-35 yrs old Range: F3 - D#5 JAMIE WELLERSTEIN Character arcs from an ambitious guy on a promising first date with a dazzling career to someone who is blinded by success and ego. He is very lovable, yet makes unintentional choices that sabotage his own happiness.
