Cushman & Wakefield Named Exclusive Leasing Agent for The District Burlington, a 1.1 Million Square Foot Premier Workspace
Cushman & Wakefield announced that they were named the exclusive leasing agent for The District Burlington

BOSTON, January 25, 2017— Cushman & Wakefield is pleased to announce they have been named the exclusive leasing agent for The District Burlington. Cushman & Wakefield will represent The District Burlington’s owner and master developer, National Development, and its partners AEW Capital Management and Charles River Realty Investors.
The District features over 1.1 million square feet of premier workspace within a highly walkable environment including high-end restaurants, over 30,000 square feet of retail, a new 170-key Residence Inn by Marriott and an abundance of open space – in one of the hottest markets in suburban Boston. Burlington’s growing cluster of urban amenities makes it an increasingly popular choice for tech companies who seek a Cambridge-like atmosphere at a lower cost. The District Burlington already boasts several high profile technology tenants including Black Duck Software, Trillium Software, TomTom, Ping Identity, Comsol and Charles River Systems.
By integrating popular retail locations such as the 268-seat Island Creek Oyster Bar, Tavern in the Square and Tuscan Kitchen, as well as the highly acclaimed fast-casual Pressed Café and Life Cycle Wellness, The District Burlington represents a unique environment which allows office tenants to attract and retain employees who value an amenity-rich workplace environment.

“Our team at Cushman & Wakefield is planning to attack the Greater Boston market in our leasing efforts to make noteworthy transactions and continue the positive energy at The District Burlington. This unique workplace environment is already one of the most sought after locations for innovative companies that value high-end workspace combined with eclectic restaurants and retail,” said Michael O’Leary, Managing Director at Cushman & Wakefield, who will be spearheading leasing efforts. “With additional amenities coming on line in 2017 such as the hotel and additional retail and restaurant attractions, this will continue to be the most coveted suburban location for any firm looking for a high-impact workspace in an urban atmosphere.”
The District Burlington is unique in its ability to accommodate tenants ranging in size from 2,000 square feet in existing space to 200,000 square feet in a build-to-suit opportunity. In addition to all the restaurants, tenants and visitors also have access to an abundance of free parking, a dedicated District shuttle with service to the MBTA Red Line (Alewife Cambridge Station), first class fitness amenities including a gym, spin studio, yoga studio and campus-wide bike sharing by Zagster.
