Recap of 2017 BHS Post Grad Party at King's Bowling

Another Successful BHS Post Grad Party for the Class of 2017 at King's Bowling!!!

The BHS Post Grad Party for the Class of 2017 was held Sunday night, June 4th at Kings in Burlington. This was the third year it has been held at Kings and once again it was a huge success. We had 210 graduating seniors in attendance and many wore their 2017 Red Devil t-shirts that they received at the post grad party registration. They were able to check in to Kings between 10:00 pm - 11:00 pm Sunday night. At check in they each received a Red Devil drawstring bag that contained coupons from True North, Bed Bath & Beyond, Burger King and DormItUp.com. When they arrived DJ Greg from Curtis Knight Entertainment was already spinning his tunes. The graduates were able to bowl, play pool as well as partake in other games throughout the entire night. They were also able to enjoy a movie in the Theater Room.

At 11:30 pm Hypnotist Frank Santos Jr. took the floor and began hypnotizing a group of graduates. This is always a highlight of the night. Frank does an amazing job of hypnotizing a group, as their classmates watch and laugh in hysterics. Additional entertainment was provided by FUN Enterprises, Inc. which included Green Screen Photos with multiple backgrounds to choose from, Two Psychic Readers, Two Airbrush Tattoo Artists and an amazing Roving Magician. Graduates lined up throughout the night to enjoy all of this entertainment.

On staff we had two RN's, Officer Fournier, Principal Mr. Mark Sullivan, Assistant Principal Mr. Rick Sheehan and dozens and dozens of parent volunteers throughout the night. Chicken Fingers, French Fries, soft drinks and waters were donated by Kings, pizzas by Pizza Works and Flatbread, ice cream by Schoolhouse, coffee, donuts and munchkins by Dunkin Donuts, fruit by Market Basket, bread and oil by Not Your Average Joe's, cookies by LaCascia's and cupcakes by Shaws.

At 4:00 am we were able to raffle off some fabulous donations. These included AMC Theater movie passes donated by the Burlington Recreation Department, free classes at Roots Yoga and free classes at Xtend Barre. As each senior left at 5:00 am they were given a gift to remember the post graduation party.

Students were very appreciative and had commented to parent volunteers – “Thank-you for doing this for us!"

Parent comment - "The Post Grad party was once again a huge success, as the graduates could enjoy their graduation night in a fun, safe environment with their classmates. Parents could relax at home knowing their kids were safe on graduation night. We hope that more parents will consider volunteering their time to pay it forward and help continue this wonderful tradition."
