If you were at Wegmans for its grand opening on Sunday and were shopping past 6 p.m., you may have noticed the new business in town was selling alcohol later than is normally allowed by town bylaw. But it’s just a one time thing -- or is it?

At a meeting last week, the town’s Board of Selectmen voted unanimously to allow Wegmans to sell alcohol until 10 a.m. during its grand opening Sunday, Oct. 26, Burlington Cable Access Television reported.
Now the question is, will they allow it for all alcohol selling establishments in town? Selectmen are expected to take up the issue at the board’s meeting on Monday night. The full agenda, which you can view here, includes the discussion of possibly extending hours.
