Cambridge Hit-and-Run: Elderly Victim Dies

Dorothy Steele, 77, of Cambridge, was in her wheelchair when she was struck by a hit-and-run driver last month, authorities said.

CAMBRIDGE, MA — The 77-year-old Cambridge woman struck in a hit-and-run crash Feb. 28 has died, authorities announced Tuesday.

Dorothy Steele was 77 years old. She was in her wheelchair when she was struck by a Henry Park, 62, of Somerville, on Columbia Street in the early morning hours. Park drove off after the crash, police said.

Steele died at Massachusetts General Hospital, Middlesex County District Attorney Marian Ryan announced Tuesday.
