Cambridge Officer Charged With Hit And Run

CAMBRIDGE, MA - A Cambridge police officer has been charged for his role in a hit and run Sunday night that sent a bicyclist to the hospital, police said.

Ryan Callinan, 28, of Wilmington allegedly hit the bicyclist at the intersection of Broadway and Portland Street just before 8 p.m. Sunday night.

He was off duty at the time.

The victim, a 32-year-old female, was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, police said.

Callinan allegedly fled the scene.
