Cambridge Teen Indicted By Grand Jury On Murder Charges

The Middlesex District Attorney announced five Cambridge related grand jury indictments Tuesday.

CAMBRIDGE, MA — Five people were indicted by a Middlesex Grand Jury for crimes that were reported to happen in Cambridge recently, including a 17-year-old Cambridge resident charged with murder. The indictments were handed down between September 26 and November 20.

Abdul Ahmed, 44, of Somerville, was charged with masked armed robbery, armed robbery, assault with a dangerous weapon, and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. The Assistant District Attorney is Terence Kiernan. Read more >> Drug Trafficking, Conspiracy: Somerville Police Blotter

Osiris Chambers, 17, of Cambridge, was charged with murder, armed assault with intent to rob (2 counts), possession of a firearm without a license, possession of ammunition, possession of a loaded firearm, and being a youthful offender (3 counts). Chambers is being in connection with the Nov. 16, 2017 shooting death of 28-year-old Malachi Mims. The Assistant District Attorney is Nicole Allain.
