• Bomb Threat Prompts Shelter In Place At Harvard University (patch.com) — A bomb threat at Harvard's Memorial Hall in Cambridge triggered a Monday morning shelter-in-place order and evacuation while police searched the building and nearby area. The order was lifted around 9:25 a.m., but Memorial Hall and Memorial Church stayed closed until about 1 p.m. No explosive device or arrests have been publicly reported as the investigation continues.
   

• Cambridge's housing boom is changing neighborhoods, and residents aren't happy (boston25news.com) — Cambridge's recent zoning overhaul is rapidly reshaping residential streets with taller multifamily buildings, and many longtime neighbors are alarmed about parking, design, and neighborhood character. City officials say adding housing is the top priority but are now weighing tweaks to setbacks and unit rules, while residents organize databases to track new projects and push for a bigger voice in what gets built next door.
   

• Lacrosse announces 2026 fall schedule (thesundevils.com) — Arizona State women's lacrosse will visit Jordan Field in Cambridge on October 10 for three exhibition games against Boston College, Rutgers, and USC, giving local fans a rare look at a western program. The team then continues its fall slate in Worcester and California as preparation for the 2027 season.
