• Driver Cited After Truck Crashes Into Cambridge Building (patch.com) — A pickup truck slammed into a building on Blake Street in Cambridge late Sunday morning, prompting a police and emergency response but causing no reported injuries or structural damage. Cambridge police say the driver was cited and the truck towed, while a building inspector was initially requested and one person was evaluated at the scene. Authorities have not released the driver's identity or the cause of the crash.
   

• A formal inquest led by judge will look into circumstances around a fatal police shooting in Central Square - Cambridge (csindie.com) — A state judicial inquest will begin Sept. 9 into the fatal Aug. 21 police shooting of a 64-year-old Watertown man in Cambridge's Central Square, near Massachusetts Avenue and Temple Street. Led by Judge Holly Broadbent, the process will publicly examine evidence, witness testimony, and whether any crime occurred, with the district attorney pledging broad transparency of records once proceedings conclude.
