The Cambridge Police Department began utilizing Narcan this January. The city saw 26 opioid-related overdose deaths in 2016, according to the Department of Public Health.

Cambridge may become the first city to place lockboxes filled with Narcan on street corners, giving access to everyone in case of public overdoses.
