Massachusetts Landowner Incentive Program Accepting Grant Applications
Canton Rep. William Galvin announces the program is accepting applications.

Representative (D-Canton) is pleased to announce that the Massachusetts Landowner Incentive Program (LIP) is accepting grant applications. Under this program the Division of Fisheries and Wildlife (DFW) will reimburse private landowners up to 75% of the total project cost of managing lands to improve habitat for declining wildlife species. Species included are the New England Cottontail, Plymouth Red-belly cooter, Bog turtle, Blue-spotted salamander, grassland birds, and other animals that have experienced declining habitats. Funding also assists landowners in controlling invasive species of flora and fauna.
Private landowners, industrial land owners, sportsmen’s clubs, land trusts, and other conservation organizers are encouraged to apply. Federal, state, and municipal agencies are not eligible for funding through this program.
