Mercury Spill in the Navy Yard

Scanner reports indicate that a large mercury spill occured at 107 Third Ave in the Charlestown Navy Yard. The incident has been declared a Level 3 alert— the equivalent of a two alarm fire

Boston Police report that at least one person has been contaminated by mercury at this time.

Boston Fire tweeted that the spill occurred when an old Grandfather clock leaked some mercury.
