Officers responding to the scene spoke to the woman’s daughter, who they said was visibly upset and knew the men who had come into her home.
She had allowed them into the apartment after they banged on the door, she told police. After they entered, they told her that she owed them. Unable to steal the television, they took a phone that belonged to one of the residents’ friends. The daughter also told police that the pair told her they planned to return with guns.
