Investigators have yet to identify the remains of a child found dead on a Boston Harbor beach, but they did speak on the case Tuesday, again asking for help in finding out who the little girl was.
Suffolk County District Attorney Daniel Conley reissued a call for the public’s help in identifying a little girl whose remains were discovered in a trash bag by a woman walking her dog on a Deer Island beach on June 25.

Conley also made it known that the little girl has the right to a proper burial with hopes of reaching out to the child’s parents.
“If you are the parent or caregiver of this young girl, please clear your concience,” Conley said in a press conference Tuesday afternoon. “Step forward and help us identify this young child.”

A computer-generated image of the child was released last week based on what investigators think she may have looked like. It has been viewed on Facebook more than 45 million times, according to Conley.
Investigators believe the child was about four years of age when she died, with brown hair and brown eyes. They say she was found inside a trash bag with a zebra print blanket.
It’s still unclear as to what caused the girl’s death. Officials say they’ve received many leads, but none matching this case.
