No Link Between Child Found Dead in Boston, Missing Michigan Baby
The identity of a child found dead in Boston remains a mystery to investigators watching over the case.

After an investigation, DNA testing found no link between a female child found dead near Boston and a missing baby girl from Michigan.
According to Fox 17, officials in Mason County, Michigan, were working with investigators in Boston, to determine if there were similarities between “Baby Kate” and “Baby Doe.”

Katherine Phillips, of Mason County, went missing in June of 2011. She was four-months old at the time. Sean Phillips, her father, is serving a minimum of ten years in prison for kidnapping Baby Kate. He currently awaits trial. The child’s body has not been found.
The remains of Baby Doe were discovered on a Deer Island beach back on June 25 by a woman walking her dog in the Boston Harbor area. The child’s remains were found in a trash bag with a zebra print blanket and white leggings.

Investigators say the little girl was four years old when she died with brown hair and brown eyes.
A computer-generated image of Baby Doe was released by investigators a week ago with the hope of identifying the girl. The image reached over 47 million people on Facebook, leading to several tips and leads.
The child has yet to be identified.
