Police Log: Bad Week for Cars on Medford Street

On Thursday, July 12, around 2 p.m., officers spotted a driver in a black Ford Mustang through the remnants of a small baggie out of his window on Old Rutherford Avenue. When they pulled up next to the driver, according to a report, they saw him bent over the center console. Officers attempted to get the driver to pull over, but he attempted to flee before officers pulled in front of him and brought his vehicle to a stop. After the stop, officers found a hypodermic needle and what they believed to be cocaine, as well as five prescription pills. Officers arrested Dennis P. Doris of 464 East Eight Street in South Boston as a result of the incident.

On Monday, July 9, officers responded to multiple reports of vandalism at Auto Port on Medford Street. Officers found cars with body damage and rocks scattered in the area. Some of the rocks remained on vehicles.

On Monday, July 9, a victim told police that someone had smashed the side window of her rental truck had been smashed in while it was parked near the intersection of Medford Street and Chelsea Street.
