Police Log: Car Burns in Industrial Park

On Thursday, May 24 at 10:50 p.m., Boston police and fire responded to a parking lot in Bunker Hill Industrial Park for a report of a car on fire. When the arrived, officers found the vehicle “fully engulfed in fire.” Upon further investigation, the vehicle was found to have no license plate and an unreadable vehicle identification number. Firefighters extinguished the car, but it was too hot to tow away at the time.
On Friday, May 25, officers responded to a report of a burglary that had occurred some time between 7:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. that morning at a Caldwell Street apartment. The victim told police that she had reported a problem with her door’s lock. When a repairman arrived to fix the door in her absence, he found the door ajar. The victim reported that the thief stole a Macbook Pro, a Macbook Air and a Sony DVD player.
