Police Log: Hot Water Lands Dorchester Man in Hot Water

On Wednesday, July 18 around 2 p.m., officers responded to a report of an assault and battery in progress on Polk Street. The victim told officers about a running argument that had lasted for a day resulting in the other person involved in the argument dousing the victim with a beach pail of hot water. As a result of the incident, police arrested Nathan Watson of 8 Ogden Street in Dorchester and charged him with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. The victim declined medical attention.
On Wednesday, July 18, a victim visited the police station to report that her purse had been stolen on Sunday. The victim said she was on the boat dock and set her purse down for a few minutes while stepping inside a boat. When she returned, the Louis Vuitton purse—valued at $3,000—was gone, along with its contents.
