
On Sunday, March 11 around 5:35 p.m., officers responded to a report of an animal attack on a child at the Walford Way playground. A witness reported that children had been playing on the playground when a squirrel ran up and jumped on one of the youths. Emergency medical services checked the child and found scratches on her shoulder before trying to catch the animal. The rodent proved too aggressive for EMS, and Boston Animal Control later trapped the animal. The child’s guardian said she would the child to the doctor to have the scratches checked.
On Sunday, March 11 around 4:15 p.m., officers responded to the CVS on Austin Street where employees reported that a woman was attempting to secure methadone with a fake prescription. As a result, police arrested Susan E. Cundari of 16 Eden Street and charged her with forgery.
