SWAT Grabs Drugs, Sex Toys From Cambridge Street Home

Six suspects plead not guilty to drug charges.

Police last week broke up what they believed to be a Charlestown drug and prostitution ring at a Section 8 home on Cambridge Street on the Somerville border when officers stormed into the house and seized drugs and sex toys.

The Suffolk County District Attorney’s office announced the Friday and all six arrested suspects faced a judge for arraignment the same day.

The Boston Herald reported Saturday that, when the SWAT team slammed through the door, officers found people inside in “various stages of undress.” The 14 occupants included three workers from the Centerfolds strip club and a woman police believe to be connected to an escort service.
