The girlfriend of reputed mobster James "Whitey" Bulger, Catherine Greig, may plead guilty, according to <a href="http://www.necn.com/03/12/12/Catherine-Greig-considers-plea-deal/landing_newengland.html?blockID=667898&amp;feedID=4206" rel="noopener nofollow" target="_blank">New England Cable News</a> and other media outlets. Greig is accused of harboring Bulger during his 16 years in hiding, when he was one of the FBI's top-ten fugitives. According to reports, Steve Davis, brother of Debbie Davis, who was murdered in 1981 (one of 19 people Bulger is accused of murdering), said he was contacted by prosecutors Friday about the possibility that Greig may change her plea. In August, she pleaded not guilty to charges of harboring a fugitive. Greig is scheduled to appear in court Wednesday. The Improbable Beasts bass clarinet ensemble, with special guests Meryl Summers(bassoon) and Solon Gordon (piano) present “We Rise,” a program of music about coming together in the midst of adversity, and rising up in community.
Beasts director Jonathan Russell will be joined by pianist Solon Gordon and bassoonist Meryl Summers in his compositional response to the dislocations and disruptions of our current moment called “We Reflect, We Grieve, We Rise.” 
After this, the Beasts present two more of Russell’s original compositions and close with a rousing rendition of the African American Spiritual and protest song “Down by the Riverside.” 
Come join the Beasts for a memorable afternoon of moving and rousing music.
