SATURDAY, JULY 11
3:41 a.m.: Investigation of a hit-and-run vehicle accident, Park Road.
11:33 a.m.: Report of a squirrel stuck in a trash container, North Road.

11:37 a.m.: Report of a dog left in a parked car, Drum Hill Road.
1:13 p.m.: Report of a shoplifter in custody at a store, Parkhurst Road. William C. Richards, 54, of Lowell, was arrested and charged with shoplifting.

6:03 p.m.: Report of a woman shoplifting, Parkhurst Road.
7:39 p.m.: Report of a hit-and-run vehicle accident, Newfield Street and Groton Road. Vehicle hit and damaged a telephone pole.
SUNDAY, JULY 12
4:51 p.m.: Report of an assault at Fish Bone restaurant, Central Square. Scott E. Hoban, 40, of Chelsmford, was arrested and charged with assault and battery on an elderly/disabled person. Hoban also had an outstanding arrest warrant for a past offense. The assault left a 70-year-old man with a facial laceration.
8:52 p.m.: Report of a suspicious person walking in the center of Cushing Place. Willy Pena, 25, who is reported to be homeless, was arrested and charged with assault and battery on an officer, resisting arrest and giving a false name to police. Pena also had an outstanding warrant for a past offense.
