Police Make OUI Arrest After Report of Person Passed Out in Vehicle

Sunday, Aug. 30

At 12:01 a.m., a suspicious van was reported behind a building on Summer Street.

At 1:48 a.m., a motor vehicle breaking and entering was reported to be in progress on Middlesex Street. Police arrested Juan J. Mercado, 41, of Lowell. Mercado was charged with breaking and entering of a motor vehicle in the night time and larceny of property over $250.

At 4:31 a.m., a person was reported to be possibly passed out in a motor vehicle on Chelmsford Street. Police arrested Kennedy K Kimani, 24, of Lowell. Kimani was charged with operating under the influence of liquor and having and open container.

At 12:11 p.m., a man was reported to be passed out in a car on Drum Hill Road.

At 1:27 p.m., police followed a vehicle going down the railroad tracks.

At 6:25 p.m., police checked on a man and woman arguing in a motor vehicle on Drum Hill Road. Police subsequently arrested Zeruiah P. Schwartzhal, 39, of Lawrence, on a warrant.

At 7:38 p.m., a golf cart was reported missing.

At 10:32 p.m., a man reportedly broke into a garage on North Road.

Monday, Aug. 31

At 11:26 a.m., a tree was reported across the road at Arrowhead Circle and Elm Street.

At 1:37 p.m., a past road rage incident was reported.

At 1:40 p.m., larceny from a residence on Wellman Avenue was reported.

At 4:03 p.m., larceny from a residence on Eagle Nest Road was reported.

At 7:58 p.m., a woman was reported to be walking on the highway.

Tuesday, Sept. 1

At 12:03 a.m., police checked the area of Western Avenue for a loud tow truck.

At 1:15 a.m., police investigated a suspicious man on the bike path.

At 4:42 a.m., a mulch fire was reported on Jean Avenue.

At 10:11 a.m., vandalism to a motor vehicle was reported on School Street.

At 5:14 p.m., a woman in a parking lot on Drum Hill Road was reportedly asking for money.
