UPDATED: No Injuries in Balsam Drive Fire

The fire started on the rear deck of the building.

CHELMSFORD, MA—

UPDATED: No one was injured Saturday evening when a rear deck caught fire at 10 Balsam Drive in Chelmsford, according to reports.

Other reports indicate that the fire was knocked down within about 20 minutes of the crews responding. Westford fire, Billerica fire and Lowell fire provided mutual aid.

The Lowell Sun reported that there were individuals home at the time of the blaze, but they escaped, unharmed prior to firefighters’ arrival.

A working fire has been reported at 10 Balsam Drive in Chelmsford.

Reports indicate that this is a heavy fire which started on the rear deck of the building. The fire has extended inward and two additional engines have been called to the scene.
