Ages 8-18 Welcome for Fully-Staged Production of "...Charlie Brown" Directed by Lowell's Sharon Bisantz

ArtsNashoba, the Nashoba Valley’s regional arts center for youth is opening it’s 2015-16 season with the musical based on Charles M. Schulz lovable ‘Peanuts’ characters - “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown.” With music and lyrics by Clark Gesner and a book by John Gordon, this production will be directed by Sharon Bisantz of Lowell and will begin rehearsals in early September.
Auditions are scheduled for September 2 and 3, 2015 from 4-6pm and will consist of prepared vocals, some movement, and readings from the script. Anticipated callbacks are slated for September 9, so if you are not available for the first two audition dates, please email info@artsnashoba.org to schedule an audition then. If a musical piece is not prepared in advance, all auditioners will be learning 8 bars of music from the show. Production weekend is November 19 thru 21. The Autism/Special Needs performance will be held November 18, 2015, all at Lawrence Academy in Groton.
You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown, originally winner of the “Outstanding Off-Broadway Musical” by the Outer Critics Circle and then given a Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Revival decades later, is “an average day in the life of Charlie Brown,” made up of little moments like Valentine’s Day to baseball, from wild optimism to utter despair - strung together on the string of a single day.
