Award-winning baritone Robert Honeysucker to perform at special MLK Worship Service at TriCon Church in Concord, MA

All are welcome to attend this special MLK worship service on Sunday, Jan. 17th at 10am. TriCon is located 54 Walden Street, Concord, MA

Trinitarian Congregational Church (TriCon) in Concord, MA is thrilled to host the award-winning baritone Robert Honeysucker during our 10:00am worship service on Sunday, January 17th in honor of Martin Luther King Day. As always, TriCon’s worship services are open to the public.

Mr. Honeysucker is a nationally celebrated opera singer who is also known for his stirring performances of African American spirituals. “Usually spirituals have to do with Bible stories, or relate to issues and trials and looking forward to a period of relief and rest from labors. These were about the soul, and looking for relief and the joy of a new world”, says Robert Honeysucker. A recent Boston Globe review praises “The rich natural beauty of Honeysucker’s singing is always so moving.”

Mr. Honeysucker’s wife, Noriko Yasuda, will be leading congregational hymn singing at the piano, as well as accompanying her husband. Ms. Yasuda is an accomplished musician with an impressive resume herself and is currently principal coach at Longy Opera Workshop and Opera North. http://longy.edu/academics/faculty/noriko-yasuda
