Compost Site Open for Trees and Packing Materials

Dispose of your holiday season waste during the Compost Site's extended hours in January.

The holidays are over, but the remnants of the gift-giving season are still overflowing in living rooms and playrooms all over town.

Over the next two weeks the Town of Concord is opening the Compost Site for residents to dispose of Christmas trees. On Jan. 6, 7, 13 and 14, the Compost Site, at 755 Walden Street, will be open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for Concord residents to drop off their trees.

If you can't make it to Walden Street to drop off your tree, for information on how you can have that evergreen picked up curbside.

Another pesky byproduct of fun new toys is all that packing material. Concordians can also bring Styrofoam-like products to the Compost Site on Jan. 7 and 14 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
