The Concord Orchestra, conducted by Richard Pittman, presents its spring concert, Spangled Stars on Friday, March 27 and Saturday, March 28. Jan Mueller-Szeraws, will perform the Cello Concerto No. 2 in D by Franz Joseph Haydn. The Concord Chorus will join the orchestra in a performance of Chesapeake: Summer of 1814, a work composed by Michael Gandolfi to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the writing of the Star-Spangled Banner. Also on the program is the Symphony No. 8 in F by Ludwig van Beethoven. Both performances will be at 8:00 p.m. at the Performing Arts Center at 51 Walden in Concord. Tickets are $30 for adults, $25 for senior citizens, and $10 for students.
