Concord Orchestra Spring Concert
Concord Orchestra concert featuring a Beethoven symphony, Haydn cello concerto, and Gandolfi choral work
The Concord Orchestra, conducted by Richard Pittman, presents its spring concert, Spangled Stars on Friday, March 27 and Saturday, March 28. Jan Mueller-Szeraws, will perform the Cello Concerto No. 2 in D by Franz Joseph Haydn. The Concord Chorus will join the orchestra in a performance of Chesapeake: Summer of 1814, a work composed by Michael Gandolfi to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the writing of the Star-Spangled Banner. Also on the program is the Symphony No. 8 in F by Ludwig van Beethoven. Both performances will be at 8:00 p.m. at the Performing Arts Center at 51 Walden in Concord.
