Concord Police Log: Fugitive Captured After Assaulting Police Officer; Ice Blocks Road; Theft at Concord-Carlisle High School

Mon., March 2
- 12:47 a.m. Two vehicles slid off Elm Street near Concord gas. No one was hurt.
- 10:02 a.m. An injured swan was reported on Kenney Road.
- 11:54 a.m. A woman reported a theft from the girls locker room at Concord-Carlisle High School.
- 12:51 p.m. Malik Fludd, 21, of Queens Village, N.Y., was arrested and charged with assault and battery on a police officer and disorderly conduct. He was arrested after staff at the Rite Aid on Lowell Road said he tried to use a fake credit card to buy a gift card. Fludd fled the scene when officers arrived, but they tracked down his vehicle on Elm Street. He allegedly ran from the vehicle and assaulted an officer as he was captured.
- 6:52 p.m. A large block of ice was reported in the roadway on Sudbury Road.
Tue., March 3
- 12:42 p.m. A fire was reported at 242 Monument St.—the Elisha Jones House. It turned out to be burned food on a stove.
- 4:24 p.m. An injured goose was reported on Assabet Avenue.
- 5:49 p.m. Following a traffic stop on Commonwealth Avenue, Daniel Bacon, 41, of Concord, was charged with driving with a suspended registration, driving an uninsured vehicle, and having no inspection sticker.
