Concord Police Log: Ice Falls on Woman, Child; Jewelry Stolen on Central Street

The following are excerpts from the Concord police log. An arrest or charge does not indicate a conviction.

  • 12:09 a.m. Following a traffic stop on Route 2, Eric Driscoll, 25, of Lexington, was charged with driving with a suspended license and having no inspection sticker.
  • 10:46 a.m. Jewelry was reportedly stolen from a building on Central Street.
  • 11:51 a.m. A man on Nathan Pratt Drive called police, saying cleaning crews knocked snow and ice into his wife and child. They were not hurt. The man said the crew also blew snow on his vehicle.
  • 3:59 p.m. There was a three-car crash on Commonwealth Avenue. No one was hurt.
  • 4:08 p.m. A loose golden retriever was found on Hill Street and returned to its owner.
  • 9:11 p.m. A resident of Shadyside Avenue called police about a barking dog.
  • 9:21 p.m. Staff at Emerson Hospital called police after a man who was brought in for excessive alcohol consumption walked out of the hospital. Police found him a short time later with his father.

Tue., Feb. 24

  • 1:30 a.m. Following a traffic stop on Route 2, Elias DaSilva, 27, of Watertown, was charged with unlicensed driving.
  • 1:52 p.m. A patron at the Concord Library on Main Street said she wanted to speak with an officer about a past assault.
  • 5:54 p.m. A man on Hayward Mill Road said his son was the target of an IRS phone scam.
  • 9:18 p.m. A caller reported a suspicious-looking man was soliciting money on Riverdale Road and claimed to be from WGBH.

  • 9:05 a.m. A woman said she was the victim of credit card fraud.
  • 9:38 a.m. A woman reported being the target of an IRS scam.
  • 10:22 a.m. Following a traffic stop on Thoreau Street, Antonio Desouza, 55, of Revere, was charged with failing to display the owner’s name on a truck and operating with a suspended license.
  • 6:43 p.m. A vehicle struck and killed a deer on Lowell Road.
  • 11:08 p.m. A woman reported a suspicious person ducking behind a vehicle then jumping up and down on Bradford Street. An officer responded and determined the woman was simply exercising.
