Concord Voters Reject Proposal for Kicking Elected Officials Out of Office
Voters rejected the measure at Town Meeting Sunday.

Concord voters on Sunday rejected a recall measure for kicking elected officials out of office.
The measure was proposed by resident Lee Ann Kay. It would allow residents to recall an elected official by gathering the signatures of 10 percent of registered voters. A recall vote would then be held within two to three months. About 150 communities in the state have a similar recall procedure.
Opponents argued the measure could create a never-ending cycle of recall elections.
