CONCORD, MA: On June 4, 2016, Concord Youth Theatre (CYT) will be hosting a musical fundraiser with local favorites The Butler Frogs at the Concord Rod and Gun Club, 74 Strawberry Hill Road. Tickets for the 8pm show are $50. This is a 21+ adult event, with proceeds going to CYT’s programming. For tickets and/or information, call (978) 371-1482, email concord_youth_theatre@concordyouththeatre.org or visit www.concordyouththeatre.org.

The Butler Frogs were formed in 2011 as a vehicle to support each individual member’s work, but they soon began collaborating and are releasing their first EP this year! The versatile band is comprised of musicians Chuck Clough (Guitar & Vocals); David G. Moore (Guitar & Vocals), Tim Fiehler (Bass & Vocals), Greg Mara (Percussion & Vocals) and Ronnie Hirschberg (Keyboard & Vocals). Their music according to their website is described as “music for the non-poikilothermic” (cold-blooded), but David Keevil of Acoustic Showcase was far clearer in his thoughts: …“really good music -- melodic, thoughtful, layered -- played and sung by excellent musicians creating an emotional environment for the lyrics to live in. Good stuff.”

Proceeds from this concert appearance will benefit Concord Youth Theatre. CYT, Concord’s own youth theatre organization, is committed to making quality live theatre accessible, relevant and memorable for all audiences, catering to young people ages three through college. Between four major producing companies (Mainstage, Junior Company, Teen Company and Young Adult Company), CYT presents no less than seven shows per season, as well as conducting classes, workshops, and offering special events the region’s kids, and has been since it started in 1976 as Act/Tunes. Through these programs, CYT teaches young people skills not only essential for performance on the stage, but even more critical to their success in school, work and social settings.
