Rama Jyoti Vernon, who co-founded the Yoga Journal and the Center for International Dialogue, will present a workshop entitled "Ancient Philosophy for Today's World" at Unity of Walnut Creek from 2-5 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 29.  The location is 1871 Geary Road, Walnut Creek  CA 94597.

The workshop by Rama and her husband Rev. Max Lafser will prepare participants for the “Season for Nonviolence,” the 14th annual global educational and grassroots campaign that goes from Jan. 30 to April 4.  Rev. Lafser was Unity's senior minister for five years at the turn of this century.


For several decades, this couple has led activities that have had profound impacts on the consciousness of peace in our world. Their work throughout the world in confict resolution is based in Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras, the ancient text that is the foundation of Yoga philosophy.

The public is invited to attend.  Wear comfortable clothes and come ready to breathe and chant with Rama.There is no entrance fee, but a suggested offering is $30.
