Free talk on cognitive aging by Dr. Margie Lachman at Gleason Public Library in Carlisle on Wednesday, April 22 at 7 p.m.

Margie E. Lachman, Ph.D., Minnie and Harold Fierman Professor of Psychology at Brandeis University, will discuss:
• What aspects of cognition change with age?
• What are the antecedents and consequences of change?
• Can we prevent, compensate for or remediate declines?
• What do we know about the relationship between normal and pathological cognitive changes?
• What are the implications of research findings for practice and policy?

Dr. Lachman is director of the Lifespan Development Lab and the Lifespan Initiative on Healthy Aging at Brandeis. Her research is funded by the National Institute on Aging.
