IEP Basic Rights Workshop January 14th

What is an IEP? An IEP is an important legal document. The more you know about the process, the better you can advocate for your child.

An IEP spells out your child’s learning needs, the services the school will provide and how progress will be measured. Creating an effective IEP takes time, effort and patience. The more you know about the process, the better you can advocate for your child.

The Concord SEPAC is offering an IEP Basic Rights Workshop designed to help you learn how to be effective partners with your child’s school and to plan, make decisions and monitor your child’s progress in school. You will also learn your rights and responsibilities under Massachusetts Education Law and have the opportunity to ask questions about your child’s IEP.

Presented by advocates and former Concord SEPAC chairs Melody Orefi and Bonnie Polakoff.
