Kathie Ragsdale, Senior Editor of the Concord Journal will be the speaker at the United Woman’s Club of Concord (UWCC) meeting on Thursday, January 21st, at 1:00 pm, at the West Concord Union Church.
Kathie has won national and regional awards for her news coverage and editing. She has been an Adjunct Professor of Journalism, has written about forgotten segments of society from children waiting for foster homes to villagers from remote Haiti struggling for survival. She covered Presidential campaigns in NH, and will share her career and life story with us.
Kathie has been the driving force helping to promote the philanthropic focus of the United Woman’s Club of Concord in raising funds for three to four scholarships presented to Concord-Carlisle High School students each spring. We owe her a debt of gratitude and admiration for her support.

It was Kathie’s support that enriched our club with four new Members since the article that appeared in the September 3, 2015 issue of the Concord Journal entitled “More than 100 years later, UWCC going strong”
We welcome new Members. Anyone interested in attending this meeting or joining the UWCC is invited to contact lisamankitafay@yahoo.com or 617-327-8159
