LWVCC Annual Fall Get Together to Feature Concord and Carlisle Police Chiefs
The League of Women Voters Concord-Carlisle will hold its Autumn Get-Together featuring a discussion on public safety.
The League of Women Voters Concord-Carlisle will hold its Autumn Get-Together on Wednesday, September 21, 2016 from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Concord Greene Club House, 1024 Main Street, West Concord. The Concord and Carlisle Police Chiefs will speak on “Emergency Preparedness and Public Safety” and then take questions from the audience. They will explain our towns’ emergency plans and how our local police respond to citizen concerns about public safety. Topics to be discussed will include Concord’s response to the recent tornado that touched down in Concord, the emergency call list, and what residents should have on hand in case of an emergency. The public is invited to attend this meeting and participate in the discussion. Refreshments will be provided. The League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan political organization that encourages informed and active participation in government, works to increase understanding of major public policy issues, and influences public policy through education and advocacy.
