Police Log: Public Disturbances; Horse Corralled; OUI Arrest

 

The following incidents were documented in the Concord Police logs.

Public Disturbances
At approximately 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 14, police were called to on Thoreau Street. The reporting party stated someone assaulted another person in front of the restaurant. Police arrived and one involved party had already left the scene. The other involved individual was still present and told police he was speaking to people about politics and he and an unknown party had a verbal altercation.

At 7 p.m., police were called by a Main Street resident reporting an individual came to her door requesting to use her phone. The reporting party gave the individual her cell phone to use outside, and called police from an indoor phone when the individual using her cell phone in the driveway began yelling at someone. Police responded and located the involved party and gave him a ride to Stop and Shop in Acton after his ride could not locate him.

Horse Corralled
Just after 2 p.m. on Wednesday, police received a call from a Lowell Road resident reporting a horse on the wrong side of the fence. The horse's owner was able to corral the animal with no problems.

Motor Vehicle Accident
At approximately 8:15 p.m., police were called to the scene of a single vehicle accident on Harrington Avenue at Ministerial Drive, in which a motorist went off the roadway striking a fence and a utility pole. The driver of the vehicle was transported to to a medical evaluation, but reported no injuries a the scene of the accident. Concord Municipal Light Plant responded to tend to a broken street light and would follow up with Verizon regarding damage to the utility pole.

Alcohol Related Arrest
Just before 2:30 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 15, police initiated a motor vehicle stop on Fairhaven Road resulting in the arrest of John E. Robichaud, 38, of Maynard, for operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol (second offense), negligent operation of a motor vehicle, possession of an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle, and speeding in volition of a special regulations.
